Along with most photographers, I wish I could spend more time behind the lens and less time on everything else. And by "everything else" I mean the many tasks required to run a sustainable business: office work, marketing, meetings, social networking (Twitter, Facebook), web site updating, etc. However, I realize that in order to chase my vision and create the images that I'm passionate about, there is behind-the-scenes work that must be done. The challenge is to keep my creative juices flowing even when I'm not shooting for clients. Enter Chasing Pixels.
Earlier this year I decided to push myself to regularly get outside (or stay inside) to shoot for fun, even if it meant taking an hour or two away from the "everything else" work. Sometimes I would set up a specific shoot. Other times I would just go out for a walk with my camera and shoot whatever caught my fancy. This project would become my photo stream of photographs shot to keep my creative juices flowing. I decided to call my project Chasing Pixels. I have tried to stay on top of this project, but am fully comfortable with the reality that I will sometimes post daily, and sometimes a number of days will pass between posts. This will be an ongoing project though, so enjoy the photographs as they come along. Feel free to post comments on any given images. I would love to hear your feedback.
